You arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport where you are welcomed by your guide and transferred to Sigiriya. On arrival you check into your hotel and spend the evening relaxing, soaking in the peaceful village surroundings and preparing for the journey ahead
Wake early for a hike to Pidurangala Rock where you can enjoy a stunning sunrise over the jungle and Sigiriya Rock Fortress. After breakfast you explore the Sigiriya Rock Fortress climbing through ancient ruins gardens and frescoes. In the afternoon enjoy a thrilling jeep safari at Minneriya National Park where you can see herds of elephants and other wildlife roaming freely
After breakfast you travel west to the historic town of Chilaw. Here you visit the sacred Munneswaram Temple one of Sri Lanka’s oldest temples connected to the Ramayana legends. Explore the town and its surroundings experiencing the spiritual and cultural significance of the area
You travel south to Kataragama a spiritual site linked to the Ramayana. Continue through the Yala region exploring landscapes connected to the epic story. Visit the mystical Ravana Cave and the nearby Ravana Falls taking in the natural beauty and legendary history. In the late afternoon you arrive in the hill country town of Ella to enjoy the serene evening views
Spend a relaxed morning in Ella with optional short hikes or walks through the tea plantations. Afterward you are transferred to Colombo or Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure taking with you memories of mythology adventure and breathtaking landscapes
